Wolverhampton-based automotive parts distributors Monmore Auto Parts and Midwest Auto Parts recently held a Christmas raffle to raise much needed funds for local charity The Haven.
Each branch was given a Christmas hamper to raffle out to customers at £1 a ticket, and between all five of its branches the company managed to raise an impressive £1,036.
The proceeds went to charity The Haven Wolverhampton, nominated by customer Neil’s Autos, a local refuge supporting women and dependent children who are vulnerable to domestic violence, homelessness and abuse.
Set up in 1973, the charitable organisation provides both practical and emotional support services to women and children who are affected by domestic violence and homelessness. The Haven Wolverhampton is one of the largest refuge providers in the UK.
All branches and members of staff embraced the seasonal fundraiser who all played a huge part in managing the raffle, helping to raise awareness for the charity and strengthen current customer relationships.
The cheque was presented to Lucy Owen from The Haven Wolverhampton Charity by Marco Teixeira from Monmore Auto Parts and Neil Turner, owner of Neil’s Autos.
