Eurofriction will be integrated into TMD Friction’s European Aftermarket organisation. Eurofriction, a profitable full-range manufacturer of replacement brake pads for passenger cars to leading distributors within the European independent aftermarket, generated sales in excess of £12million in 2009 and employs 130people at one location in Kilmarnock.

A TMD statement said “the acquisition further strengthens TMD Friction’s position as a European and worldwide leader in the development, manufacturing, sales and distribution of high quality brake pads to the independent automotive aftermarket. It is also an important milestone as we seek to further improve the service offering to our aftermarket customers across Europe.”

The Kilmarnock facility will provide TMD with an improved capability to meet market demand and complement its customer base with additional replacement parts business.
